Hello sir, please let me known If I will pass GATE exam then should get any scholarship???? GATE qualified ME/M.Tech students scholarship is sanctioned by AICTE. No scholarship will be reimbursed/ paid to the sponsored category candidates. Rate of Scholarship : Scholarship of Rs. 8000/- per month will be reimbursed to Gate Qualified candidates during the course for which fund sanctioned by AICTE. FUND Sanctioned : All India Council for Technical Education has sanctioned an amount of Rs.10,56,000 /- as Grant in Aid under Scheme of Development of PG Education and Research. ![]() GATE Financial Assistantship The basic requirement to seek admissions or financial assistance masters and doctorate program is to qualify GATE exam. The financial assistantship is provided through the institutions supported by the MHRD and other Government agencies. GATE Financial Assistantship Eligibility: Candidates with a valid GATE Score can avail the benefit of GATE financial assistantship/scholarship. This assistantship is provided on the semester basis for up to 2 years for M.Tech students. While for Ph.D. students, it is provided up to a maximum of 5 years. A stipend of INR 12,400 per month is provided to M.Tech students for 8 hours of work per week. A monthly stipend of INR 25,000 for up to 2 years is provided to Ph.D. students. For the next 2 years, the financial assistance is raised by INR 3,000. Additional assistantships in the form of scholarships, fellowships, etc. may be available through other organizations, such as CSIR, DAE, etc. GATE Scholarship Amount IIT, IISc Ph.D. Researchers to get INR 70,000 Monthly Central Fellowship The Union Government will now grant INR 70,000 as a monthly fellowship to 2000 Ph.D. scholars across IITs and IISc Bangalore. In order to promote higher education and retain talent in the country, the HRD Ministry proposed an INR 75,000 per month fellowship under the Prime Minister's Research Fellowship Programme for selected Ph.D. fellows at the IITs.
