It is tough to find a job with 40% in 12th standard. If you would have maintained a percentage of above 65% then there would be chances for you to get a good job for sure. I suggest you to try in different fields where there will be no percentage criteria and there you can find a job if possible. Some times you can apply for railway group-D posts and IBPS Clerk Posts if you have 60 % in 10th standard. You can apply for Indian army through NDA there you do not need any minimum percentage for applying in army, but have science field at the 12th level.
