Both the master courses Healthcare management and Healthcare administration are different from each other.

Healthcare management
It refers to the management of the business aspects of a clinic or healthcare facility.

Healthcare administration
It relates more to the management of the staff associated with providing care.

As a healthcare manager or administrator, your job areas may include:
Developing initiatives to achieve reductions in medical expenses while increasing quality scores
Maximizing efficiency and ensuring proper resource allocation
Managing and refining team processes, workflows and activities
Managing the day-to-day operations of the clinic (or other healthcare organization)
Assuring proper documentation of provided care
Meeting healthcare cost and quality targets
Continual improvement of policies, standard operating procedures and processes
Developing, implementing and managing administrative and healthcare costs and budgets
Achieving a high rating with the National Committee for Quality Assurance
Mentoring and developing the skills of the healthcare team members

The basic difference between healthcare management and healthcare administration is that management runs the healthcare organization and administration handles the staffing.

Health care administrators are considered health care professionals.

Health care management is usually studied through healthcare management or healthcare administration programs in a business school.

Health Administration or Healthcare Administration is the field relating to management, leadership and administration of health care systems, public health systems, hospitals, and hospital networks.

M.B.A. Hospital & Health Care Management course Eligibility :

Applicants must have obtained a bachelor`s degree in any stream with at least 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree.

Few Universities conduct a common entrance test (GMAT, CAT, XAT, MAT, SNAP, etc)

The common entrance test includes different papers like Data Analysis and Interpretations, Numerical Ability, English, Problem Solving, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness.
