Default Re: Food Corporation of India Grade III Exam Syllabus

Food Corporation of India (FCI) was established on 14 January1965. FCI responsible in the price support operations for safeguarding the interest of farmers. Distribution of food grains throughout the country for public distribution system is another function performed by the corporation.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the written examination for Combined Recruitment for Assistant Grade III in General, Depot, Technical and Account Cadres in FCI Food Corporation of India Examination.

Syllabus:

The FCI exam 1 consist of 4sections-
General Intelligence- 50 marks
General Awareness- 50 marks
Quantitative Aptitude- 50 marks
English Language- 50 marks

The exam 1 is of objective type and is of 2 hours. The total number of questions
200 and each question carries 1 mark.

SSC FCI AG3 Paper I Syllabus (Post Codes A, B, C, D) – Higher Secondary Level

General Intelligence: It includes questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. Some important topics are analogies, similarities and differences, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogism, problems on cubes, mirror and water images, matrix.

General Awareness: This section will include questions related to Indian History, Culture, Geography, Economics, General Polity, basic computer knowledge, science.

Quantitative Aptitude: Percentage. Ratio & Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegations, Time and distance, Time & Work, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centers, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons , Circle, Trigonometric ratio, Data Interpretation Bar diagram & Pie chart.

English Language: It will include questions based on spotting the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms/antonyms, idioms & phrases, one word substitution, improvement of sentences, conversion into shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences in a passage, close passage & comprehension passage.

The FCI exam 2 consist of 2 sections-
Quantitative Methods- 50 questions
English Language & Comprehension- 100 questions

SSC FCI AG3 Paper – II Syllabus (Post Codes A, B and D) (Higher Secondary Level)

(a) Quantitative Methods: The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be the computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage. Ratio & Proportion,Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Alligation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra & Elementary surds, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons , Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square base, Trigonometric ratio, Degree and Radian Measures, Standard Identities, Complementary angles, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie chart.

(b) English Language & Comprehension : Questions in this components will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on spot the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spelling/detecting mis-spelt words, idioms & phrases, one word substitution, improvement of sentences, active/passive voice of verbs, conversion into direct/indirect narration, shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences in a passage, close passage & comprehension passage.

The exam 2 is of objective type and is of 2 hours. The each question of Quantitative section carries 2 marks and each question of English Language and Comprehension include 1 mark. The total marks for exam 2 are 200.

The FCI exam 3 syllabus for 2012 -2013 includes the following-
Biological Sciences- 200 marks
The exam is of objective type with time period of 2 hours. The total number of marks for the exam 3 test is 200 and all the biological science questions carry 1 mark.

Biological Science: It will include questions on Botany, Zoology, Bio-technology, Bio-chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Engineering.

sir/madam fci as announced the notifications of FCIAG3 there deportment web site mentioned part 1 paper will be there at 120 questions...sir/madam please tell me the clear information about this...
