How many time net & set pune university exam held in a year.. give me dates ??

NET is conducted by UGC 2 time in a year (June and December),.. but the SET Pune university exam is also held two times in a year ..

NET exam June month tentative date :
Date of UGC NET Notification : march 2014
Last date for Applying On-Line April 2014
Last date for receiving the documents at the test center: may 2014
Date of UGC NET examination: June 2014

December month NET exam tentative dates :
Last date for Applying Online & generation of filled Bank Challan for Fee. : November 2014
Last date of submission of Fee :November 2014
Last date of taking printout of Application Form : second week November 2014
Date of exam : December 2014

National Eligibility Test (NET) under University Grants Commission (UGC) is conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency). UGC NET conducts the Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor Programme for Indian students


Important June Dates 2019

27th May 2019

Application Fee
 General - Rs.800/-
 Other Backward Classes (OBC)-(NCL) - Rs.400/-
 SC/ST/PwD/ Transgender - Rs.200/-


Educational Qualification

 One should have qualified the Master degree or equivalent scoring 55% from any recognized university (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science etc.

 The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer/SC/ST/persons with disability (PwD) category candidates who have secured minimum 50% marks in Master degree or equivalent exam are eligible for this Test.

 One pursuing the Master degree or equivalent course or one who has appeared for qualifying Master degree exam and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying exams have been delayed may also apply for this test.

 However, such candidates are admitted provisionally and considered eligible for award of JRF/eligibility for Assistant Professor only after one has passed the Master Degree OR equivalent exam with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for OBC falling in Non Creamy layer/SC/ST/PwD category candidates)

 Such candidates must complete their Master degree or equivalent exam within 2 years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified

 One belonging to the transgender category is eligible to draw the same relaxation in fee, age and qualifying criteria for NET (i.e. JRF and Assistant Professor) as are available to SC/ST/PwD categories. The subject wise cut-offs for this category should be the lowest among those for SC/ST/PwD/OBCNCL categories in the corresponding subject

 PhD degree holders whose Masters level exam have been completed by19th September 1991 is eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. From 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET

 One, whose Post Graduation subject is not covered in the list of NET subjects, may appear in a related subject

 One with post-graduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/ Institute OR foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by the foreign University/institute should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of diploma/degree/certificate with Master degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
