Indian Engineering Services (IES) examination is organized by UPSC for recruitments in government sector

As you have B.E. Computer Science & Engineering degree so you are eligible yo appear in this exam

Educational Qualifications
You have to passed any undergraduate degree in Engineering from a well recognized university

Age-limits

21-30 years on 1st August of the year of Examination.

IES exam pattern:
Written exam
Personal interview

One Engineering Discipline should be chosen from the following categories:
Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

The written examination will comprise two sections:
Section I - objective types questions
Section II – conventional (essay) type questions papers.

Tentative Schedule
Notification of Examination January/February
Conduct of Examination :: June/July

Yes, B.E. Computer Science & Engineer eligible to appear in IES examinations .

Indian Engineering Services Examination – (IES) Exam Eligibility:

Nationality :
A candidate must be either :
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee

Age Limits:
21 years -30 years

Upper age limit relaxation as per the govt. norms.

Qualification:
Candidate must be a graduate in Engineering from a recognized university.

Final year students can also appear in IES exam.


Important Dates:

Date of Notifiaction: 14 March, 2015
Last Date to Apply: 10 April, 2015
Date of Exam: 12 June, 2015 (3 days exam)


Exam Pattern
The written exam comprises of 2 sections.
Section I :
consists of only objective type questions

Section II
Comprises conventional papers.
Both the papers cover entire syllabus of the relevant engineering disciplines.
