Yes you can easily take admission in M tech courses offered by various reputed engineering colleges with less than 60% marks in B tech examination ..

for admission in M tech course you have to passed GATE examination with good scores .. So you have to try to get more score in GATE examination ..
on the basis of gate score many reputed colleges offered admission in M tech courses ..

There is no fix percentage criteria for B.tech for getting admission in M.Tech course, but you have to score good in GATE (M.Tech entrance exam) exam in India.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination conducting to take admission in post graduate subjects in engineering and science.

GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technologys in India on behalf of the National Coordination Board GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Exam pattern
Total 65 Questions (ALL Objective Type) Total Marks:
100 Each question has ONLY one correct answer

GATE Examination will be ONLINE for All Branches

Application fees:
Male (General/OBC)
1500
Women (All Categories)
750
Other (General/OBC-NCL)
1500
SC/ST/PwD
750

Important dates:
GATE Online Examination
Forenoon:
9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Afternoon: 2:00PM to 5:00 PM 31st January, 1st, 7th, 8th and 14th February 2015
