I want to know the full information about LIC Development Officer exam, i.e, Exam subjects, Marks, When Can i apply, Application form, Exam Fees, Starting and Last for apply, Date of examination.

L.I.C. Development Officers Examination is being conducted for the recruitment of Assistant Development Officers' in the Life Insurance Corporation. Following are the details of it:

Educational Qualifications:
The applicant should hold Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture or Law of an Indian or Foreign University or an equivalent qualification

Examination Papers:
Test of Reasoning
Numerical Ability
General English/Hindi
General Knowledge.

JOB REQUIREMENT:
It is primarily a sales supervision job. The selected candidates will be required to
recruit agents, train them properly, and help the recruited agents to sell life insurance
to maximum number of persons. They will also be required to give prompt after sales
service to policyholders. For this purpose considerable movements including tours
covering entire area allotted to them are involved.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:

a) Qualifications:
i) For Employees category and Agents category in both Urban and Rural area-
Applicant shall possess the Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established
under a statute or a foreign university approved for the purpose or the Fellowship
of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.
ii) An applicant from Others category for recruitment as an Apprentice Development
Officer in both Urban and Rural area shall possess the Bachelor’s Degree of a
University in India established under a statute or a foreign university approved for
the purpose or the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.

Preference may be given to those applicants who possess Masters Degree in
Business Administration in Marketing or Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from
a University in India established under Statute or by an Institute approved by All
India Council for Technical Education or a recognized Institution.


(b) Age:
(i) The applicant shall have completed 21 years of age (in completed years) and not
more than 30 years of age (in completed years) as on 1.3.2010.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

Selection will be made on the basis of a written test followed by an Interview of
candidates who qualify in the written test:

Written test:
The Written Test will be of objective type, multiple choice of two hours duration
comprising of the following two papers:

1. Test of Reasoning and Numerical Ability.

2. General Knowledge, Current Affairs and English Language with Special emphasis
on Grammar and Vocabulary.

Date of Written exam:
The written test will be held at the following centres, tentatively on Sunday,
13.6.2010.

Interview:

Successful candidates will be eligible to be called for an Interview.

The full information about LIC Development Officer Exam are:-
LIC Development Officers Examination is conducted by the Life Insurance Corporation of India to recruit candidates for the position of the Development Officers who belong to the class II officer category. The notification for the vacancies in the LIC is published in all the prominent national newspapers of India and in the Employment News.

Written Test on Sunday, 13th June, 2010.

Important Dates
Notification of Examination commences in the month of July
Last Date for Filling of Application Form generally falls in the month of August
Examination will commence in the month of September

LIC Development Officers Exam Pattern
The LIC Development Officers exam pattern comprises of the following two stages:
Stage I: Written Examination
Stage II: Interview
Stage I: Written Examination

Stage II: Interview

The questions will be designed to test the candidate's knowledge of the current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience as may be expected of an educated person, including topics on Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, etc. There may also be questions on Geography of India and her people, History of India, her cultural heritage, freedom struggle and salient features of the Constitution of India, Economic and Social Problems.
English Language:
This test is to determine your knowledge of English - vocabulary, expressions etc.

LIC Development Officers Examination leads to the recruitment of the Development Officers who belong to the class II officer category.

Eligibility Criteria


Age Limits: The applicants should have completed the age of 21 years on the 1st July of the year of examination.

Educational Qualification:

The applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Agriculture/Law, of an Indian or Foreign University, or possess an equivalent qualification.

LIC Development Officer Exam Pattern:

The LIC Development Officers examination comprises of the following stages:


Stage I: Written Examination

Stage II: Group Discussion and Interview
