Default Re: Accreditation of Community and Junior Colleges

There are various organizations and associations in various countries which provide the accreditation to the higher education institutes. The job of these organizations is to keep track and also to accredit various colleges including junior colleges and community colleges and all.

The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) is an integral part of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) which is one of six regional accrediting organizations running in the United States. The ACCJC accredits public and private colleges which provide students two-year education programs and provides the associate degree. The Commission’s areas of work include colleges in California, Hawaii, and American territories and protectorates of the Pacific Ocean.

The organization was formed in the year of 1962. It is an independent organization of educators and others representing the public interest and is not a governmental entity.

I hope the answer was of some use to you.
