Sir I am taking part in the UP Board TET exam but I have no idea about the syllabus of my course so please can you give me the syllabus and tell me from where can I download the syllabus in the PDF format?

Exam controlling authority of Uttar Pradesh will hold next UPTET 2014 examination for primary teacher / junior level teacher. UPTET 2014 Syllabus UPTET Paper 1 (Primary Teachers Classes I-V):



Divided in to 6 Units and each unit carrying 5 marks.

Unit-I (Marks-05)
Unseen Prose Passage
Synonyms, Antonyms, Spellings, Word-formation, One Word Substitution.
Unit-II (Marks-05)
Unseen Prose Passage
Part of Speech, Tenses, Determiners, Change of Degrees.
Framing Question including Wh-questions, Active and Passive Voice, Knowledge of English sounds and Phonetic Symbols.
Principles of Teaching English, Methods and Approaches to English Language Teaching.
Development of Language Skills, Teaching Learning Materials: Text books, Multi-Media Materials and other resources.
Comprehensive & Continuous Evaluation, Evaluation Language Proficiency.

Child Development and Pedagogy

Unit-1 (Marks-06)
Child Development: Concept of growth and development, Principles and dimensions of development. Factors affection development (especially in the context of family and school) and its relationship with learning
Role of Heredity and environment
Unit-2 (Marks-06)
Meaning and Concept of learning and its processes. Factors Affection learning.
Theories of learning and its implication
How Children learn and think.
Motivation and Implications for Learning.
Unit-3 (Marks-06)
Individual Differences: Meaning, types and factors Affection Individual differences Understanding individual differences on the basis of language, gender, community, caste & relign.
Personality: Concept and types of personality, Factors responsible for shaping it. Its measurement.
Intelligence: Concept, Theories and its measurement, Multidimensional Intelligence.
Unit-4 (Marks-06)
Understanding diverse learners: Backward, Mentally retarded, gifted, creative, disadvantaged and deprived, specially abled.
Learning Difficulties.
Adjustment: Concept and ways of adjustment. Role of teacher in the adjustment.
Unit-5 (Marks-06)
Teaching learning process, Teaching learning strategies and methods in the context of National Curriculum Framework 2005.
Meaning and purposes of Assessment, Measurement and Evaluation. Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation. Constriction of Achievement Test.
Action Research.
Right to Education Act 2009 (Role and Responsibilities of Teachers)

Following is the syllabus of UPTET:

This paper is for person who want to be teacher of class I to V. Paper II for person who want to be teacher of VI to VIII. Person who want to be teacher in both class, have to apply separately in two separate form in both paper I and II.

No. of multiple choice question is 150. there are one mark of each question. There is no negative marking for wrong answer.
