Commencement of Online Application Second Week of September, 2013
Last date for issue of OMR Application Form and Information Brochure at Canara Bank Counters: Second Week of October, 2013
Last date for Online Application on the website: Third Week of October 2013
Last date for receipt of completed OMR Application Form along with Pay-in-slip and Demand Draft (if any) at IIT Delhi: End of October, 2013
Last date for receipt of completed Online Application Form along with Demand Draft at IIT Delhi: End of October, 2013
Date of JAM Test: Second Week of February, 2014
Announcement of the Results of JAM: Second Week of April, 2014
Submission of ONLINE Application Form, for admission at the website of IIT Delhi:

Mathematics


Algebra: Set theory and its simple applications. Basic concepts of groups, fields and vector spaces.

Matrices:
Rank of a matrix. Existence and uniqueness of solution of a system of linear equations. Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors. Inverse of a matrix by elementary transformations.

Differential Calculus:
Differentiation, Partial differentiation, Taylor series and approximate calculations. Maxima and minima of functions of one and two variables.
Integral Calculus: Single and multiple integration. Definite integrals, Change of order and change of variables. Applications to evaluation of area, surface and volume.

Differential Equations: First order differential equations, linear differential equations of higher order with constant coefficients.

Vector Algebra: Addition, subtraction, dot product, cross product, triple product and their applications.

Numerical Analysis:
Solution of non-linear equations using iterative methods. Interpolation (Lagrange's formula and Newton's formula for equidistant points). Numerical differentiation and integration (Trapezoidal and Simpson's rules).

Probability: Basic concepts of probability theory. Binomial and Poisson distributions.
Linear Programming: Formulation and its graphical solution for two variable problems.

Computer Awareness
Elements of computers. Number systems. Basic electronic gates. Boolean algebra. Flip-Flops. Algorithmic approach to solve problems. Fundamentals of C language.

Analytical Ability and General Awareness

Simple questions will be asked to test the analytical ability and general awareness of candidates.

IIT JAM (Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test) is a Entrance Exam for admission in various Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctors Level courses.


IIT JAM 2015 Application Form Procedure:

Candidates can apply for JAM 2015 only through “Online Process form the official website of respective IIT which conducts this Exam.

Commencement of ONLINE Registration and Application on JAM 2015 Website:
1st week of September

Last Date for Online Application Submission and Uploading of Documents:
3rd week of October


Important Tentative Dates:
1) Online Registration: 2nd week of September
2) Closing date of Final Website Closure and Payment: 3rd week of October.
3) Closing date of Registration: 4th week of October.
4) JAM MCA Test commenced: 2nd week of February
5) JAM MCA test result announced: 2nd week of April.
6) Opening and Closing date of Interview: From Second week of May to Last week of May.
7) First admission list will be declared: 2nd week of June.
8) Second admission list will be declared: 3rd week of June.
9) Closure of Admission through JAM: 2nd week of July.
