(c) Pulley system has a velocity ratio 3 and an efficiency of 80%. Calculate the mechanical advantage of the system and the value of the effort required to lift a load of 100 N.

4. (a) (i) State Snell's law of refraction.

(ii) Draw the ray diagram for the image formation by a convex lens, when the object is placed at focus of the convex lens.

(b) Define the term Angle of Deviation. On what factors does the angle of deviation depend?

(c) (i) Give one use each of ultraviolet radiation, infra-red radiation and gamma rays.
