Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management was founded in 1958 and the institute is approved by AICTE.
The institute offers the Certificate Course on Export-Import, Freight Forwarding and Risk Management.

A brief outline of the course is given below:

International Marketing - identification of market for export/ import, product identification, selecting the prospective buyers, channel of distribution, processing an export order, opening of Letter of Credit
Role of DGFT, customs authority and RBI, EXIM policy of GOI and pre-requisites to become an exporter/ importer
Role of Export Promotion Councils

Handling of import and export cargo in ports
Structure and dynamics of the Indian freight market
Negotiation of transport contracts
Letter of Credit
Cost-saving techniques in road-rail transport
Risk, mapping of risks, business risks in a changing economy, risk assessment models, retail business, manufacturing industries, service industries
General insurance
Marine insurance
Computer system related risks etc.
Case studies

Duration:

30 lectures of 2-hours duration each,
From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Two classes are conducted per week.

Course Fees:

Rs. 7000/- for students of IISWBM
Rs.9000/- for working executives
