MPharm (Master of Pharmacy) Program offered by Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Manipal Academy of Higher Education is a two year post graduate program in pharmacy.


MPharm is offered in the following streams

Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Drug Regulatory Affairs
Pharmacology
Pharmaceutics
Industrial Pharmacy
Pharmacognosy
Pharmacy Practice
Pharmaceutical Marketing
Pharmaceutical Administration
Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance
Pharmaceutical Biotechnology


Qualification:

Pass in BPharm from a university recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India, with minimum of 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent.



Admissions

General:

Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal Entrance Test (MET).

Foreign/NRI Category:
Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.


One can apply either under General or Foreign/NRI Category. One submitting applications under both General and Foreign/NRI categories will be considered only under the General Category. Change of category at a later stage will not be entertained under any circumstances.


Duration:

2 years.


Citizenship:

Indian nationals can apply under the General Category. Foreign nationals or Non Resident Indians or Indian nationals supported by NRI relatives can apply under the Foreign/NRI Category.


Assessment

First Year MPharm

Continuous and consistent evaluation through assignments, class tests and viva voce for Students
Evaluation of seminars presented by the students
Periodic assessment of students by conducting 3 theory and 2 practical sessional exams in each subject (internal exam)
A final theory university exam at the end of first academic year
A university practical exam at the end of first academic year
A minimum of 75% attendance and 50% of marks in theory and practical exams are necessary to move to next level


Second Year MPharm

The students should carry out a research project and submit a thesis of their research work
The thesis will be evaluated by a panel of internal and external examiners
A viva voce examination will be conducted to evaluate the student’s research work
