Default National law university entrance exam

When Common Law Admission test (CLAT) exam will be conducted in 2012 by National Law University? From where can students get application form for it? what will be pattern for Common Law Admission test (CLAT) exam?

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted every year by National Law University Delhi to admit students for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctorate (PhD) level law courses.

AILET 2020 Important Dates (Tentative)

Issue of Notification 14th November, 2019
Start of online application form 1st week of January, 2020
Application form closes Last week of March, 2020
Issue of Admit Card Last week of April, 2020
Exam Date May 3, 2020
Time of Examination 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Publication of Official Answer Key 2rd week of May, 2020
Results Last week of May, 2020
Start of Counselling Last week of May, 2020



AILET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for B.A LL.B programme


One who has completed 10+2 with Senior Secondary System or equivalent examination from a recognized board

One scoring minimum 50% marks in the qualifying examination

There is no age bar for candidates who wish to apply for AILET 2020 as per the Supreme Court’s stay on age bar in 2017

One appearing for Class XII examination are also eligible to apply for AILET 2020.


AILET 2020 Syllabus

AILET 2020 shall be conducted in offline mode with questions under different subject areas:

English including comprehension: The English section will test the candidates' proficiency in English based on comprehension passages and grammar. In the comprehension section, candidates will be questioned on their understanding of the passage and its central theme, meanings of words used therein, etc. The grammar section requires correction of incorrect grammatical sentences, filling of blanks in sentences with appropriate words, etc.

General Knowledge and Current Affairs: The General knowledge will be tested on the general awareness including static general knowledge. Questions on current affairs will test candidates on their knowledge of national and international current affairs.

Mathematics: This section will test candidate's knowledge on elementary mathematics, i.e., maths taught up to 10th Class/standard.

Legal Aptitude: This section will test candidate's interest towards study of law, research aptitude and problem solving ability. Questions may include legal propositions (described in the paper), and a set of facts to which the said proposition has to be applied. Some propositions may not be "true" in the real sense, candidates will have to assume the "truth" of these propositions and answer the questions accordingly.

Logical Reasoning: The purpose of the logical reasoning section is to test the candidate's ability to identify patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments. It may include a variety of logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies, etc. However, visual reasoning will not be tested.

Default National Law University entrance test

I want to do LL.B. from National Law University and for that I have to take entrance test so please give me the syllabus and important dates of the exam so that I can apply before the last date and do preparation according to the syllabus.

You can get the application form through the website

The last date is 31st March 2012.
The paper pattern for the UG and pG courses is different so you can visit to the site you will get all the pattern and the rules and regulations for the exams.
