Find the probability that neither a doublet nor a total of 10 will appear. (b) A and B appear for an interview for two posts. The probability of A's selection is 1/3 and that of B's selection is 2/5. Find the probability that only one of them is selected. 3. (a) Two forces P and Q acting at a point have a resultant R. If Q is doubled, R is doubled. Again, if Q be reversed in direction, R is again doubled. Show that, P : Q : R = Ö2 : Ö3 : Ö2 (b) Three forces P, Q, R acting at a point are in equilibrium.
