![]() The Indian Navy offers selection for candidates who are engineer in order to recruit them as Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officers within the Technical branch, electrical engineering branch of the Indian Naval Force. There are only four most important braches within the Indian Navy wing and they are the electrical branch, engineering branch, executive branch and the education branch. The Indian Navy is a highly prestigious as well as most recognized defense organization within the nation Eligibility: The candidate should Science Graduate with Physics & Mathematics with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University OR BE/B Tech with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in any discipline from an institution recognized by AICTE. Important Dates (tentative): Date of Commencement of Online/ Manual Application: 12/03/2011. Last Date of Online Submission of Application: 27/03/2011. Last Date of Receipt of Manual/ Online Application at Naval Headquarters: 27/03/2011. Physical requirements: Candidate should have a minimum height of 157 cms with correlated weight, leg length, sitting height and thigh length. Eye Sight: The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision is 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Candidate should not be colour/night blind. Application procedure: Candidates can either send a typed application form (on an A4 size paper) according to the format given in the admission notification and they also download the application form from the website. The candidate should fill the application form certain information and send it to the official address and half fill application form will be rejected. Selection Procedure: Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in B.E./B.Tech. the selected candidates are called for Interviews. Interview is conducted in two stages. Intelligence Test, Picture Perception test and Group discussion. Those candidate specify in Stage 1 can appear for Stage 2. Stage 2 includes Psychological Tests, Group Task and Personal Interview. Candidates who clear both the stages will have to appear in Aviation medical examination before being selected. @ mdjahir The last dates for submission of application form for SSC Officer in Executive Branch for July 2012 Course has been expired so you can apply next year. Eligibilities: To apply for the July courses age should be between 19 & 1/2 to 25 years. |
