RGU Moodle

The RGU (Robert Gordon University) Moodle (Moodle Implementation Project (MIP)) is a project to offer a new virtual learning environment (VLE) for Robert Gordon University using the open-source software ‘Moodle’. The new platform will replace the existing RGU: Virtual Campus and will maintain to offer a stimulating and learning environment available for both on-campus and distance-learning scholars.

RGU call for candidates to explore its web pages further to find out more about the project and the people admitted. However, a critical element of the project is that RGU will be listening to and taking account of the demands and opinion of teaching and endorse staff, scholars, and other important stakeholders.

The Robert Gordon University is a collaborative enterprise through the Department for the Enhancement of Learning, Teaching and Assessment (DELTA), Information Technology Services, and scholar Administration.

The scope of the Moodle Implementation Project can be divided into the following areas:

Definition of RGU requirements
Configuration of Moodle to meet RGU requirements
Provision of a full environment that supports development, testing and production of Moodle
Any ITT to procure equipment, services or additional tools.
Tool evaluations (non Moodle)
Interfaces between Moodle and current RGU systems
RGU Branding of Moodle
Data Conversion from the current virtual campus(eLearning content)
Support processes and procedures for post implementation
Training of users and support staff
Testing of RGU implementation of Moodle
Pilot of Moodle
Full Rollout of Moodle
Identification of supporting business processes, procedures and standards for use of Moodle
Supporting Documentation
Implementation of Moodle for use by both on campus and off campus students
Content Management(strategy, tools and processes)
SITS system amendments to meet Moodle requirements.

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) was nationally recognized the UAA (University of Alaska Anchorage) MBA (Master in Business Administration) program.
