Tibia Ayurvedic College Delhi

Abud Najeed Khan founded the Ayurvedic & Unani Tibia College in the year 1889. The institution has a hospital attached to it with one hundred and ten beds. Practical training is also provided to the students studying here. Previously this college and allied units were handled by a Board established under Tibia College Act-1952. This Act now has been repealed by a new Act known as Delhi Tibbia College (Take Over) Act-1998 and enforced by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi. The college, which was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1921, offers Bachelor degrees in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery and Unani Medicine and Surgery.

Course offered:

The courses offered at Ayurvedic & Unani Tibia College are Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery and Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery.

Duration:

The under graduate degree offered is of 5 years and 6 months duration. 12 months is meant for the internship program.

Eligibility:

The candidates should qualify by 10+ 2 pass with Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English. An aggregate of 50% is required in Chemistry, Physics and Biology taken together. Candidates should also pass English from any recognized institution that offers regular classes on English. It is also necessary for the students to have pass marks in all the subjects. Candidates should be 17 years of age as on 31st October of the present year when taking admission.
