The College of Social Work was established in 1955 by a band of valiant women known as Daughters of the Heart of Mary, whose mission was to readily respond to the felt needs of the people allowing to the signs of the time.
Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
Master’s Degree in Social Work Programme is a 2-year course. They offer students a balanced blend of theory and field experience, through classroom learning and compulsory fieldwork of 15 hours per week. Besides this experience, students are disclosed to NGO functioning by way of annual rural camps and block placements. MSW program is a full-time course and makes demands on the student’s time; it is not desirable to take up any part-time usage/courses without the prior consent of the Principal.
A candidate holding a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (Arts, Science, Commerce, and Social Work) of a recognized University is eligible to apply for admission to the Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW). A candidate who has appeared for a Bachelor’s Degree Examination in all parts and is awaiting results may also apply. Selected candidates from universities other than Mumbai University will be granted admission to the courses only on product of tentative eligibility certificate from the Mumbai University before giving the fees.
Last Date for receipt of completed form is May 31 of each year.
