IIVR stands for Indian Institute of Vegetable Research is a component establishment below the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research. IIVR main is situated at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Indian Institute of Vegetable Research has been imagined as a national network of multidisciplinary research on the improvement of the big vegetable crops. Indian Institute of Vegetable Research act as a center for training for up gradation of scientific manpower in vegetable crops. Indian Institute of Vegetable Research disseminate the scientific information to the farmers. Indian Institute of Vegetable Research furnish consultancy in the vegetable research & development.

Indian Institute of Vegetable Research aim is to impart a fillip to the Research and to encounter the future challenges of the nation. Indian Institute of Vegetable Research furnish scientific leadership and coordinate network research with State Agricultural Universities for solving location scientific troubles of vegetable production. Indian Institute of Vegetable Research has seven main centers, eighteen sub centers and thirty-one voluntary centers. Indian Institute of Vegetable Research centers undertake the coordinated research project.
