The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology or IITM was founded through the United Nations Development Programme as a Special Fund Project at Pune on 17 Nov 1962 and it is a technological institution ground based in India for elaborating research in meteorology of the tropical zone in general with special reference to monsoon meteorology of India. Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) has invited application form for recruitment of following posts in 2012 and it admission. Essential Eligibility criteria:

For applying for this post, candidates must have done M.Sc. (Electronics) or Diploma with three or more years of experience on electronic instrumentation and maintenance.

Eligibility criteria:
Candidates should have passed M.Sc / M.Tech / MS degree in first class or equivalent in Physics, Applied Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Chemistry, Ocean Sciences, Geophysics, Geology or any other area of Earth Sciences or any related disciplines or must have passed B.Tech / B.E / M.Tech / M.E / MS with first class in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical or Electronics or any other Engineering disciplines.

The training program for the selected candidates will be started by the first week of July 2012.

Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.25000/- per month with an annual increment of Rs.1, 000/- .
