Utrecht University is located in the heart of the Netherlands. Utrecht University is firmly founded on tradition. It has developed into one of Europe's leading research Universities. With its international Honour's University College, its international Bachelor's programme in Economics and a wide range of 87 international Master's programmes, it offers the broadest spectrum of English-taught degree programmes available in the Netherlands.
Every year approximately two thousand international students come to Utrecht to take part in programmes taught in English. These programmes are offered at all degree levels and in nearly all disciplines. Researchers from abroad find in Utrecht a stimulating, international environment for their Ph.D. work. Utrecht University is an active player in many European and global education and research networks. In addition, the University welcomes hundreds of international students each year to its certificate courses, the Utrecht Summer School, and to a variety of tailor-made training programmes offered by the teacher-training department (IVLOS), the James Boswell Institute and the seven faculties.

All Students who register at the university must pay annual tuition fees. The exact amount is determined annually by the government in December. Fees for students from an EEA (European Economic Area) country is much lower as compared to the students from non-EEA countries.
