The entry requirements for TAFE in Australia are based upon the secondary education certificate and the successful completion of an English language test. A Higher Secondary Certificate or Senior School Certificate is required for the Diploma and Associate Diploma course. The Secondary School Certificate, with minimum 5 subjects is required for both the Certificate and Advanced Certificate study course. The proficiency in English language is required as determined by the International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) test. Normally score of 5.5 is required for entry to most of the TAFE courses. In any student is not able to achieve the level of English proficiency required for the TAFE course of his/her choice then he/she may enroll in TAFE intensive English language programs before proceeding to a TAFE course. |
