I wish to participate in the University Grants Commission UGC National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), so need all detailed info related to that test so please provide me?

The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research.
The Test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science.


The UGC NET details are as given below:
Eligibility:

The candidate should have gained at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Masterís Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc are eligible for this Test.

The candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Masterís degree examination and whose result is still awaited are eligible for UGC NET exam.

Paper pattern:
The paper pattern of the UGC NET exam is as given below:
-- The UGC-NET will be conducted in objective mode.
-- The test will consist of three papers.
-- All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions

Default Eligibility for UGC Net

Can I apply for UGC Net 2014 based on my CS degree from ICSI? Can it be considered equivalent to Masters? I want to go for professorship..Thanks

UGC and CSIR examination cell jointly conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) for June 2014 for get the eligibility of JRF (Junior Research Fellow) and Lectureship

Eligibility for UGC NET exam ----

Age limit:

Your age should not be more than 28 years as on 01/01/2014 and relaxation will be given as per the government rules

Educational qualification:

For JRF post:
You Should have done BE/ B.Tech/ MBBS/ Integrated BS-MS/ M.Sc./ B.Sc. (Hons)/ Integrated MS-PhD or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks from any recognized university

For Lectureship:
You should have done PhD before 19 September, 1991 with minimum 50% marks

Application fee:
General candidates have to pay Rs. 400/-,
OBC candidates need to pay Rs. 200/- and
SC/ ST/ PH/ VH candidates are required to pay Rs. 100/-

UGC NET 2014 Application Form Begins From: 10 February , 2014
Online Application submission ends: 4 March ,2014
Confirmation Page Receiving Last Date: 8 March , 2014

As you want to get the details of eligibility for UGC NET JRF exam so here is the information of the same for you:

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have passed with at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Masterís Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test.

The Ph.D. degree holders whose Masterís level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET.

Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post-graduation only.

Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Masterís degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test.
