West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board conducts JECA for admission to Master of Computer Application (MCA) course in various institutions in West Bengal.

WBJEE JECA Eligibility Criteria


Module I


Three years Bachelor degree program from UGC recognized University with minimum of 60% marks (45% marks for candidates from SC/ST category) in Honours/Aggregate

Or

BCA (AICTE recognized) from any Institute/ University scoring minimum of 60% marks (45% in case of SC/ST category) in Mathematics at the Bachelor’s level.

Applicants also obtain minimum of 60% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST category) in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent level from recognized Boards with minimum of 60% marks (45% marks for candidates from SC/ST category) in Mathematics at each level.

Module II

Candidates should have done UGC and/or AICTE recognized (as the case may be) Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration except for BBA with Mathematics at 10+2 level or graduate level. Candidates need to obtain minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B category) in the qualifying examination.

Module III

Candidates should have done graduation or equivalent degree under (10+2+3) scheme in any stream of a UGC recognized University/Institute or AICTE recognized B.Tech/ B.E / BCA of a University/Institute.

Applicants should have Mathematics as one of the subjects at each level of education. Candidates have to secure 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) at graduation level.

Module IV

B.Sc. Honors degree under (10+2+3) scheme in any stream of a UGC recognized University/Institute with minimum of 60% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC- A/OBC-B category) in Honors/aggregate along with minimum 55% marks in Mathematics.

Candidates are needed to obtain minimum of 60% marks in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent level from recognized Boards with minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics at each level.

There is no age limit.

Candidate must be an Indian National.

WB JECA Examination Pattern

Exam will be held in online mode which consists of two papers as follows:

Mathematics – 100 marks (2 hours)

Aptitude test – 100 marks (1 hour)

The paper will include questions of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type. Each question will have four alternatives out of which candidate have to choose right one option.

There will be a negative marking of 1⁄4 for incorrect response given by candidate.

Multiple responses will be treated as incorrect response.

The paper will be held in English language only.
