Default NTSE Fees

How much amount of fee should I need to deposit to apply for National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) exam and also get further information about the exam?

Feel free I will provide you details of National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) exam and will also let you know requirement of fee to apply for the exam.

Exam pattern
There are 3 papers in both stages
1. Mental Ability Test (MAT),
2. Language Test and
3. Scholastic Ability Test (SAT).

Questions are in the form of multiple choices with negative marking deducting 1/3 marks. The tests are available in Asamiya, Bangla, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malyalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. However, language test is available in two languages English & Hindi.
Test No. of Questions Maximum Marks Time
Mental Ability Test (MAT) 50 50 45 minutes
Language Test 50 50 45 minutes
Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) 100 100 90 minutes

Scholarship Criteria
Candidates who will pursue further studies in Science, Humanities, Languages, Commerce, vocational studies and Fine Arts will be awarded scholarship amount till Ph.D level

Candidates who study professional programmes i.e. Medicine, Engineering, Technology, Management and Law are provided scholarship amount till their second degree level or postgraduate programme

Scholarship Amount
Level of Education Scholarship amount for year 2018 (in INR)

Class XI to Class XII Rs.1250

Undergraduate level Rs. 2000

Postgraduate level Rs. 2000

Ph.D. level As per UGC norms

Details related to the application fee
The State and Union Territories are responsible for intimating the fee required to be submitted for the state 1 examination.

Therefore, candidates are required to contact the respective State Liasion Officer to make themselves aware of the fee charged for Stage I exam and the mode of payment. However, candidates wont be charged for the Stage II examination.
