Undergraduate students of Mumbai University will never again have the capacity to take the 'extra exams' led by schools for the first and second year understudies as another opportunity to clear their exams, aside from under uncommon conditions.

In a round sent to all schools, the college said that it has chosen to get rid of the extra exam govern, presented in 2013, which enabled universities to direct extra exams inside 20 days of the general semester exams.

Students, who don't clear their initial four semester exams, will now need to show up for the permitted to keep term (ATKT) exams before being elevated to definite year.

All students of undergraduate courses-aided, unaided, designing and others will be influenced by this change.

"The principles were changed in 2013 after the Credit Based Grading System (CBGS) was presented. They were allowed to show up for exams not long after the standard exams were led and the results of the normal and the extra exams would be announced together. In any case, the scholarly gathering felt that understudies were abusing the control and chose to backpedal to old ATKT framework," college enlistment center, MA Khan said.

For instance, third year B.com (T Y B.Com) understudies would show up for the first and second semester exam in October and March yet felt that they didn't do well or couldn't show up for them, could show up for an extra exam soon after.

In any case, now the understudies who neglect to clear more than two subjects should show up for the ATKT exam in April and October for the initial four semesters, at exactly that point will they be elevated to the third year.

The extra exams were presented for understudies who couldn't show up for the standard exams because of sickness, sports, or other scholastic responsibilities, However, understudies started abusing the office by concentrate just for four out of six subjects and after that showing up for the extra exam
