Qualification Criteria
Candidates who have passed 12th class or equivalent exam in 2015 or 2016 (not before 2015) are eligible to apply for this exam.
If a candidate appears in 12th or equivalent class in 2017 are also eligible for JEE Main 2017.
If candidates has appeared in 12th or equivalent exam in 2014 but did not cleared in 2014, but passed in 2015 are not eligible to apply
Percentage Criteria
Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2017 must has passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in order to apply.
However For admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs & CFTIs candidates must have secured at least 75% in their class 12th board exams (65% for SC/ST students ). Payment Mode
The application fee payment can be made through two modes online mode (debit/credit card) or offline mode (e-challan of Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank). Exam pattern
JEE Main Paper I:
Courses: It is held for engineering courses (B.Tech/BE).
Number of Questions: It is consisted of 90 MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions).
Subjects: The paper will be asked from subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Language: Hindi, English (candidates can select while filling the application form)
Mode: It will be commenced via both; online & offline.
Duration: 3 hours. (4 hours for the candidates having 40% or more disability)
Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct response.
Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response or multi-responses.

Total 90 360 JEE Main Paper II:
Courses: It is held for Architecture course. (B.Arch).
Number of Questions: It is consisted of 82 questions (MCQs) out of which 30 questions from mathematics, 50 questions from aptitude test and 2 questions (descriptive) of drawing test.
Subjects: The paper will be asked from subjects as Mathematics, Aptitude, Drawing.
Language: Hindi, English (candidates can select while filling the application form)
Mode: It will be commenced via offline mode.
Duration: 3 hours. (4 hours for the candidates having 40% or more disability)
Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct response (2 questions of drawing will carry 70 marks).
Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect or multi-responses.
