I want to know the date of UPSC Civil Services Exam so can you please tell me?

Civil Services Examination is a common entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission UPSC for selection of candidates for the Civil Services (Main) Examination and Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination.

Civil Services Exam 2016 will conduct on 7 August, 2016

Important Dates

Date of Notification: 27 April, 2016

Last Date to Apply: 27 May, 2016

Exam Date: 7 August, 2016

Civil Services Mains: 3 December, 2016

CSE Eligibility-

Degree from a Central, State or Deemed university
or
Degree received through correspondence or distance education
or
Degree from an open university
or
Candidates who have passed the final exam of the MBBS degree but have not yet completed an internship
or
Candidates who have passed the final exam of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), ICSI and ICWAI
or
Degree from a private university
or
Degree from any foreign university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities

Age

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on August 1 of the year of examination.

For other backwards castes (OBC) the upper age limit is 35, and for scheduled castes (SC) and scheduled tribes (ST) the limit is 37 years.

CSAT Pattern

CSAT (Prelims) Pattern

The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of Objective type (multiple choice questions)

Exam carry maximum of 400 marks.

Prelims Paper Duration Questions Marks
Paper I - General Studies 2 Hours 100 200
Paper II - Aptitude 2 Hours 80 200
Total 400

In General Studies Paper - II, minimum qualifying marks is 33%.

You will be selected for Mains exam based total qualifying marks of General Studies Paper - I.

The pattern has changed from 2013 main examination.
