Without precedent for 2013, the admissions to NITs and other halfway supported specialized establishments bases on scores of BOTH the Entrance examination and the Board marks. According to the warning of the JEE Main 2013, there is a 40% weightage to general Board marks (5 subjects). Without precedent for 2013, the admissions to NITs and other halfway subsidized specialized establishments bases on scores of BOTH the Entrance examination and the Board marks. According to the notice of the JEE Main 2013, there is a 40% weightage to general Board marks (5 subjects). In perspective of expansive scale varieties in the examination framework in nation, the JEE Interface Group (JIG) settled on an extraordinary technique to standardize Class XII Board Marks. The highlights of the same are:

Percentile scores amongst various sheets/inspecting bodies are corresponded to a typical All India JEE-Main percentile score. half of Board imprints are standardized utilizing this relationship.

Again percentile scores among each of the board/inspecting body is corresponded to a JEE Main percentile mark for that separate board/looking at body. half of the board imprints are be standardized in this way.

Along these lines the JIG has nitty gritty a system for standardization of Board imprints as given beneath:

Note the total imprints (A0) acquired by every understudy in JEE Main.
On the premise of total imprints scored by every applicant in his/her own particular board (B0), the percentile (P) is ascertained. P is figured from the rundown of five subjects determined (each set apart out of 100) and among all understudies of the board whose subject mixes meet the qualification criteria of JEE-Main. Five subjects to be utilized for standardization:-

1. Material science

2. Science

3. Any of the subjects Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Computer Science

4. One dialect

5. Any subject other than the above four subjects.

In admiration of 3, 4 and 5, the best check in a given classification will be picked.

Decide the JEE Main total imprints comparing to percentile (P) at the All-India level. We call this B1.

Additionally, decide the JEE Main total imprints comparing to percentile (P) among the arrangement of total scores got in the JEE-Main by the understudies of that board. We call this B2.

The standardized board score of the hopeful will be registered as: B = 0.5 X (B1 + B2)

a.For the motivation behind admission to NITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions where Main Score and Board score are taken in the 60:40 proportion, the composite score for drawing the legitimacy rundown will be registered as: C = 0.6 X A0 + 0.4 X B

The same can be diagrammatically shown as follows:
