Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission – TNPSC conducts Group 4 exam for the recruitment of various vacancies in Tamil Nadu State Government Departments. SSLC is the minimum educational qualification.

TNPSC Group 4 Exam Eligibility is as follows:

Age Limit: For all the posts in Group 4 notification minimum age is 18 years.

The candidate’s upper age limit relaxations are given below:

Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars), Scheduled Tribes and Destitute Widows of all castes
Maximum Age : 35 Years

Most Backward Classes / DenotifiedCommunities., Backward Classes and
Backward Classes (Muslims)
Maximum Age : 32 Years

“Others” [ i.e. Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and BCMs ]
Maximum Age : 30 Years

For the persons who are trained in Survey in ITI in Tamil Nadu, in respect of posts of Field Surveyor and Draftsman only
Maximum Age : 35 Years

Candidates have following requirements to apply for TNPSC Group 4 Exam:

Age Limit: Minimum age should be 18 Years

Age Relaxation: (Maximum Age)
Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Caste: 35 Years
Most Backward Classes / Denotified Communities 32 Years
Others” [ i.e., Candidates not belonging to 30 Years
SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and
BCMs ]
For the persons who are trained in Survey in 35 Years
ITI in Tamil Nadu, in respect of posts of Field
Surveyor and Draftsman only

Minimum Education

For Typist:
Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting:-
by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or)
by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or)
by Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil.

For Steno-Typist, Grade III:
by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or)
by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or)
by Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil.

Computer Qualification (for Typist and Steno-Typist, Grade III):
