The Tamilnadu Public Service Commission Village Administrative Officer (VAO) Exam details are given below;
Village Administrative Officer (VAO)
The Candidates who are below 21 years of age and above 40 years of age cannot apply for this job post.
The applicants should have SSLC pass certificate in order to apply for TNPSC VAO exam.
The candidates who are only 10th pass can also apply for the exam.
The TNPSC VAO exam selection is based on written test then followed by Interview.
Written Exam Pattern
The written exam scheme for Village Administrative Office exam (VAO exam) by TNPSC ( Tamilnadu Public Service Commission ) is following –
Written exam will be conducted in two following parts -
1. General Knowledge
There will be 100 items in this section and the questions will be of S.S.L.C. Standard . This paper will be set in both languages, English & Tamil
2. General Tamil/General English
It is same of above paper, there will be also 100 items of S.S.L.C. standard . Candidate may choose any language between Tamil & English.
The complete question paper consist of 200 questions ( 100 + 100 ) carrying total 300 marks ( 150 + 150 ) .You have to complete the whole paper in 3 hours .
You have to attain minimum 90 marks to qualify the test for selection.

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts examination for the recruitment of Village Administrative Officer (VAO). VAO Exam Pattern:
-It will come in two different languages one is Tamil and another one is English with 2 Pattern.
a. General English with General Knowledge
b. General Tamil with General Knowledge
-Each paper is of 150 - 150 marks & Total mark of paper is 300.
-Time duration for the exam is 3 hrs.
-Required Minimum Qualifying Marks for Selection is 90

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Village Administrative Officer post is similar to the post of Village accountant tasked with the responsibility of maintenance of record, record keeping and account of preparation of statistical returns.
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Village Administrative Officer Exam eligibility details are given below :
Candidates should possess the following Qualification on the date of notification.
Must have passes S.S.L.C public examination with eligibility for admission to higher secondary courses of studies or to college courses of studies.
In addition to this candidates should also have (written and spoken) proficiency in Tamil language.
Age limit: Candidates Aged between 21 and 30 years for TNPSC VAO Exam
Age relaxation: 40 years for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all castes.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their score acquired in the written examination.
TNPSC VAO Exam Pattern:-
TNPSC VAO exam will consist of a single paper with the following subjects of SSC standard
