National Institute of Mental Health is part of the National Institutes of Health which a component of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and CBT stand for Cognitive behavioral therapy is a blend of two therapies; it helps a person focus on his or her current problems and how to solve them and in this process both patient and therapist need to be actively involved: CBT (Cognitive behavioral therapy) can be applied and adapted to treat many specific mental disorders.
